I have an Epson 7710 (i think those are the numbers) that is a wide format printer I bought at Best Buy on a crazy good sale ($150 bucks or something close to that) and I use Ink Owl refillable cartridges and their ink. Sometimes the printer gets an attitude and refuses to acknowledge the cartridges and I spend 20-30 minutes just popping them out and back in until the printer figures out that there is a cartridge. It warns me that it isn't official Epson ink, I hit the I don't care button and I'm back to printing. Its a little frustrating but it only happens like once every other month or so. The other problem with the system is the ink can run out but the computer doesn't know. But seriously, I only paid like 130 bucks for the cartridges and I think 4 8 oz bottles of ink. I've been printing whatever I want for the last 6 months and am probably not even half way through any of my bottles. Its glorious! I can't imagine paying for non-reusable cartridges. If I ever start making enough profit from my sublimation business I will upgrade to a wide format (13x19) Epson with the eco chamber where you just pour the ink in. That will take care of the cartridge issue and it will be the best setup ever at that point. I love that I found this work-a-round through Ink Owl. I thought I was going to need a 2000 dollar printer to get into business. Sorry for the wall of text, I'm just very excited to share my process with you!
