If memory serves me, I believe you'll need sublimation ink. Or Google sub. ink & I'm certain you'll find it there.

If you get ceramic mugs that are poly coated, sublimation ink would be a good option.

I'm not sure if you can use other types of transfer ink on mugs. I'm guessing if you did they would not be dishwasher safe.

Make sure the mugs are poly coated for sublimation. The inks I use are Airtanium (not cheap) but do a good job on sublimation transfer papers.
