Anajet MP5i... I am very new to the DTG and very frustrated... I have printed and printed changing settings that tech support keeps telling me to try... Yet my prints still look like they have been washed several times... If I reprint the same thing 2 or 3 times I might get a decent color out of it... Legacy mode seems to help the most but I still do not get the colors I see on videos out there others are getting.. Is there a way to up the ink flow on the printer or a setting that I am missing??? please help because AnaJet tech support tells me to just keep trying and change the settings I will get it... I am sick of that answer and it does not fix my issue...

Learjet3204,

There are a couple of things you can do:
If you are printing on light shirts use fine/wide or superfine/wide to gain more ink saturation
Also, I almost always set the Contrast in the color ink settings to -1 and the Saturation to at least 60.
You can even spray your light color garments with a light coating of pre-treatment as this will help retain the pop in the color (lightly spray, use a 3" wide paintbrush to work the pre-treatment into the weave of the fabric, heatpress with parchment paper on top for 20 seconds, then print)

If you are printing on dark color shirts with a white underbase, be sure you are regularly gently agitating the white ink cartridges so that the ink does not settle.
Pre-treatment of your dark color shirts will be the most challenging to getting good color. If your pre-treatment is too light, it will not cary enough white ink to support good color. If the pre-treatment is too heavy, you jeopardize proper washability.
Also, the ratio of pre-treatment to distilled water will make a big difference. If you are mixing at 50/50, you are probably having problems. I suggest mixing at 60/40 or even 70/30 depending on the garment you are printing on.

If you are still having problems, check out some of the other sections of the forum (pre-treatment section and ink section) to see what others are doing.
