DTG V White Toner

Hi Everybody
We are in the market for either a white toner printer or a small DTG machine the R Jet i3 looks perfect size wise. Problem is we've heard so many tales of DTG machines needing to be run constantly otherwise they clog etc and you end up flushing them basically wasting lots of ink. We don't print hundreds of tees probably 20-30 max a week. Also regarding pre treatment does this process smell and do you need extraction to avoid user health problems?
What's the smell like from a DTG anything like solvent printers or what as we are in a relatively small workshop without any extraction. Obviously we don't get any problems like that if we go down the toner route.

Do any of you have experience of both systems and know what are the advanteges /disadvantages of each. Also wonder what Resolute themselves think - would the R jet i 3 work for us?

So our question is really would the R Jet i3 work for us or should we look elsewhere. Your thoughts are really appreciated.

Hi,

Good questions and hopefully the answers you want ;)

The DTG process is odourless and needs some ventilation but nothing powered. No smells like a solvent printer.

Printing only a few shirts a day is not a problem, the i3 is specifically designed to be portable. If you don't need a portable machine the R-Jet 5 would be a better option as it looks after its own white ink.

The DTG process as far as I know is more economical to run than a white transfer system and does not suffer from being restricted to A3 size.

Your welcome to visit for a demo, I am not sure of your location but the best way to judge is to have a go yourself on one of our showroom models.

Hope this helps.
