Is there any rip software that doesn't cost an arm and a leg or are they all just high priced like that? I bought a dtg printer with white ink and having a rough time trying to find a rip software that doesn't cost me giving up one of my kids for.? If that's all i got then i'll have to just take pics of my kiddo and remember him always. Please help if you can, thanks.

Thanks Printzilla,
I've seen that one too. It's that I bought this DTG printer with what I was told by the seller that the RIP software valedations codes can be bought for $150 but I'm begining to see that not happening AT ALL. Either that or I'm not looking hard enough, and I've been at it for a couple of days now. Thanks again for the reply and I guess I'm just going to have to keep looking. What really burns me is that I see one on EBAY with more accessories and the RIP software for less than what I paid. Talk about not trying to get steamed about that .

If you were the original RIP owner you could purchase some additional validations BUT being that you are not it will be necessary to purchase a NEW RIP.
Like Mark asedk which printer is it for?

The RIP software is actually a single suer software license that is purchased with three validations with the printer. As a courtesy to the orginal user the software manufacturer - iProof Systems will provide the original licensee with additional validations of the software at a reduced fee.

When we refurbish a DTG printer and resell it we are also required to purchase a new package to go with the printer.

It is a good idea to do your due diligence when purchasing a used machine from an individual. Questions about software, support, warranty can always be verified by contacting the company that initially sold the machine. That call can also potentially let you know if the machine you are trying to buy is actually owned by the individual or if it is owned by a lease company.

$900 for a RIP software is not a terrible price, a lot of software RIPs are in the $2000-3000 range.

MultiRIP GP is a generic version of DTG RIP Pro which is sold with the DTG brand of printers. You can simply load up the version that came with your used printer and try it out - it will watermark the print - but still have full functionality otherwise.

If you are east of the Mississippi you can PM me and I will see what I can do to help.

@ YODAN, How long does the trial last? Dring the trial is the water mark removed?
The RIP will last as long as you would like to test it, and the Water mark will always print with the test version untill it is purchased and validated.

Sorry my friends I tried the Multi-rip gp tried it for about a week, and didn't use it for about a year, and now can't even use it to try. Then I go to download it and install they ask for a validation code.
Dale,

We have never offered an DTG RIP for the 1280 printer. In addition, it would not matter whether you installed the evaluation version last week or a year ago, it will always print the watermark till you validate the software. Otherwise, it is full functionable. Feel free to post additional questions or check out our online tutorial - How to use MultiRIP GP dtg Print From RIP.
