Anyone using hover for fixating DTG prints?

I guess the press needs more time or temperature when not touching the fabric ? wonder how much ? any experience ?

I print on plain fabric (not t-shirt) and the white fabric tend to get yellow from the heat press when I use the pressing function, but works fine with the hover/not touching function.

I have a Stahls heat press that has the function.

We haven't used a hover to actually cure the ink, only to dry it to touch to aid in retaining the color vibrancy. If you were to hover with the intention of curing, my guess is it would be upwards of 10 minutes, hardly efficient. Of course the Epson inks are faster curing than what I'm used to, but either way, it would take quite a bit of time.

Have to do some more testing....and I know i asked before, but can you tell me your experience with the pretreatment, I tester one 1:2 works fine, but if 1:3 works as well it is even better how do you mix it ?

I've done a 1:1 and a 1:2 ratio, but never a 1:3.

1:1 = 50% pretreat / 50% water
1:2 = 33% pretreat / 66% water
1:3 = 25% pretreat / 75% water

Just want to make sure we are speaking the same language.
