DTG Printer for retail clothing business

Hi guys

We are vinyl printers selling activewear and looking for a recommendation for a DTG printer.

We currently run through around 400 garments a day from bags, to 87/13 poly/elastane leggings to cotton hoodies, t shirts and vest. I'd say around half of what we print on a daily basis are cotton material and are a mix of around 70% black garments with white print and 30% other/white garments with black print

I am exploring options of getting another printer to speed up our departments efficiency, print a multi colour top we outsource and enable me to set up a print on demand shop selling quote T shirts and hoodies.

I am thinking about DTG. I don't really have the space for a screen printer but everyone claims DTG's a good bet. I've been looking at the epson f2100 but I am not experienced at all and wonder if anyone has any advice. I'd say I have a total budget of around £15k and ongoing costs wouldnt be a problem as we'd be able to feed it constant work.

Does anyone have any tips? :)

Thanks
Mark

That a good problem to have.
There are a lot of good machines out there.
From the 600T, DTG Digital and my favorite the FreeJet 500TX (in production mode).

Richo just announced the R100, a desk top stackable system with printer AND press. What could possibly go wrong?

Thanks very much. This is quite over my head, so I think something entry level might be more appropriate, yet I am quite anxious of shooting myself in the foot by spending a lot on what would need to be upgraded once I start doing bigger volume.
The Ricoh Ri 100 doesn't have white ink so no printing on dark fabrics with it.

I don't have any personal knowledge of it but I've read many favorable reviews of the Epson f2100 in these forums.
So if that's an affordable option for you I don't see how you could go wrong with it.

Good Luck!!
