hi, i posted this problem before everytime i print a job it gets stuck after the job is done printing. it doesnt go all the way to the back. also occasionally it prints a line at the top of the job, right at the beganning of the t-shirt. i cleaned the encoder strip and the wheel on the left of the head same result happens. if anyone knows what the problem is please let me know asap. thanks

usually when the machine quits is the power button blinking? if so could be a communication problem....

had the same thing happen to me but it was a problem stopping at the start of the print...

no it is not blinking i can only do one production run at a time because it will start printing at the end of the shirt because it doesnt go all the way back, i dont no the what the problem is.

try cleaning the encoder wheel next to the waste tank (snot box) it may or may not be covered by a clear plastic box. this wheel is about 2.5 inches in diameter and has ridges on the outside edge, the wheel should be a clear colored plastic, clean the edges very good, any dark spots need to be removed, if after cleaning this whell the problem persists CAREFUL try and clean in between the sensor opens on the encoder wheel (black piece wheel spins in) do this with power disconnected from wall.

i was just oing to suggest the side encoder wheel also just checked mine as well! the clear plastic cover does a great job considering this is the side all the ink gets sucked out!

The HM1 (Epson 2400 based) does indeed "blow it's nose" on the left side of the machine where the encoder wheel is, that is the reason for the sheild. It is a good idea to clean it at least once a month to prevent any issues.
