Hi! We have a GT-381 and after made a lot of tests this lasts months we are using this steps for dark t-shirts:
- Pretreat 1 Water 2.5
- Dry 4 minuts in our "gto lyra air dry 4"
- Print and wait 3-4 minutes before introduce in "gto lyra air dry 4"
- Dry 4 minuts at 150ºC (302F)

We prefer the results without press heat

Now we think that maybe we don't need for dry using all 4 minuts for white t-shirts. Anything can share their experience for the time drying white t-shirts without pretreatment?

Thanks!

I can only speak to the dryers that I have used - which is primarily the ones in the USA. There are some dryers where we can use the same temperature / belt speed (dwell time) for both light and dark garments because of the amount of forced air flow it has. However, there are other dryers that require a longer dwell time for dark garments because the air flow is not as strong and there is more ink (which means there is more water to evaporate to cure the inks).

So you might want to see if you can speed up the belt and still get good washability on the printed garment. Personally, I like one setting so you can switch from light to dark prints without every having to change the settings.

Best wishes,

Mark
