Ok researched the heck out of this but way to many answers from 2008 to current. When doing vinyl heat transfer (eazyweed and/or thermaflex) when there is a print on both sides there is no reason to dress the press during second logo application correct? I have a Teflon pad protecting the bottom plate but no reason to use teflon (On the top) for first press just the second press (after carrier sheet is removed) is this correct? This is for 50/50 tees...I do understand that doing poly or temp sensitive materials I would want to use the teflon to protect the garment but tees are fine without. Does this also apply when doing plastisol transfer or should we dress the press to prevent ink bleed through? Cant wait until we are completely comfortable instead of freaking out when pressing

Is it required to put a Teflon sheet on top during the first press? Not necessarily. You would definitely want to if there was another other decoration on the shirt. Regarding the "dress the press" question, you would still want to dress to make sure you were getting even pressure. If you have a Hotronix with a heat press caddie or a Fusion or any other threadable press, it's quick and easy to just "spin" the garment while it's on the platen.

Flipping the shirt over i read the glue from the first logo could come loose or bleed through. So other than even pressure dressing is not necessary? Thank you...its a geo knight and unfortunately some youth sizes do not fit platen (I need to buy the smaller one still)it sounds like I am ok not dressing but better if I do then. Thanks again!

If you are not able to dress the platen, then I would suggest using a Teflon Pillow or Print Perfect pad to create even pressure and also to give you a barrier between the front and the back.
