Anyone having issues with their capping stations? I'm on my third one and they keep biting the dust. Constant CR Load position errors, my machine at this point is worthless.

Just wondering if this is isolated or something these machines are doing to others.

Thanks ~

This thread is to see if other people are experiencing the same issues and see if it's a broader problem. Support was unable to solve my issue.

Can you go into more detail about what's going on. I know you said cr load errors so is your carriage getting stuck and not able to eject from the capping? Are you hearing grinding noises? Do you use a screw driver to unlock the carriage?

The carriage moves fine. But on start up it does it's thing booting up then double reds. No, I stopped using the screw driver method (never got the memo that my training to use the screw driver was the WRONG advice, thanks EZ!, until after it broke the first time).

No grinding noises that I can tell, either.

Hi,

I saw that you cancelled an appointment you had made to bring your machine in for our support department to take a look at. Occasionally phone support alone can't resolve an issue, so I do recommend bringing the machine in so we can take a look at it. I know you have had your printer for a while now and have spoken to our support department several times about this issue, so that's the avenue I would recommend.

Because I shouldn't have to pay for something that is broken due to being given INCORRECT training. Again, this thread is to communicate with other owners to see if the issue is common, and how they resolved it. Not to chat with equiptment zone.

Try manually moving your shirt board to the load position and back out to the eject position using the left and right arrows. Do this a couple of times and move the bed back to the middle. Then start the printer up like normal. The printer may think it has a paper jam so crossing the sensors underneath the bed may tell the printer that there is no more jam. If that doesn't work then you may have a faulty YACB board.

No luck, I think this would also cause it to show me a PW Sensor error instead of a CR load position lock when I pull up the error reading software. I appreciate the help.

Looks like I'm going to have to find a way to transport it up there and pay a nice 400% mark up on parts fresh out of warranty.

Is neoflex like this as well? They're a bit more local and I need another printer by end of month. Was looking at that for the next options. Too frustrated with the veloci jet

You can remove the pw sensor and see if that works. I remember a vjet customer in the past doing this and it worked. Just remember to unplug your printer when doing this.

I hear nothing but good things about neoflex but every printer can have there issues. The neoflex is a 4880 printer which is a wider format compared to the vjets 1900. I like the vjet as well though. One thing I like about it is that the cartridges plug directly to the head allowing it to be flushed out easier.

Hope you get yours going.
I have an R2880 DTG and we replace our capping station every 60-90 days. $40 part. Five minutes of work.

You said your printer is out of warranty. How long was the warranty?

The R1900/R2880 capping station is built weaker than the 4880. The wiper blade is part of it. I recommend always spraying a little cleaning solution in both channel pads during a cleaning cycle. It'll keep the gaskets fresh. I also dry the wiper blade and the use my finger to see if there's any ink. If so, peel it all off, completely.

I suggest instead of replacing it that often what you can do is take it out every month and give it a good cleaning. Then your chances of ever having to replace it are slim. Save you about $160 a year. You can buy a liter of ink with that. I do that on my 2200 and I have had the same capping/pump for the last 2 years. I have trained customers on 4880 and 1900 to do the same. Big thing is that you don't want ink to build up in that small plastic gear in the pump.

You need to reset the waste tank. Do you have the 1900 adjustment program? You'll need it.

I know it's an old thread, but did you ever figure this out? I'm having the exact issue right now. Thanks.
You purchased a used printer from a private party. We do offer tech support from our support department if you would like.

I have a used Volci Jet xl that I just purchased. Can someone tell me how many disc are suppose to be with it. I think I am missing the driver disc. All I got was 2 disc of the same thing and a demo disc. Thanks for any help.
I'm aware that this is way too old tread, but I'm having exactly the same problems now as the ones you described. Carriage gets stucked with grindy noises. It get stucked in the middle of cleaning process (on the capping), and in the middle of printing (at the opposite side of capping). I have a Kiosk K3 machine. Any ideas what I sholud do?

You have a Kiosk K3 printer which is made by DTG. The controls and circuitry are going to be different then our Veloci-Jet printers. You will have much greater and more brand specific responses by posting this on the DTG Brand subform.
