I have close to $700-$800 bucks is this enough to start and what should I get?

I started with $900, bought a refurbished vinyl cutter and low end heat press. After 3 months I upgraded my press to a knight press and the cutter is working just fine.

If you're wanting to start screen printing, I'd say yes.

You can probably get your hands on a small hobby screen printing press that's a 1 station/1 color.

With a little ingenuity in the art department, you can print some really interesting tees that are only 1 color, even without half tones.

Also, a book that's a must-have for any screen printer: Scott Fresner's "How to Print T-Shirts for Fun and Profit." It's virtually the screen printer's Bible.
