Hello, I am trying to figure out if such a thing exists. A young man is running a non funded fitness program for the community I live in. He has a limited budget but wants to offer t-shirts and hoodies to his clients. I would like to work out something that would benifit both of us. Could he take orders and I make them as they came? Yes I'm sure I could..but how do I price this. He has the clients and logo but I make it without him needing to tie up money in inventory. What would be the percentage for each of us be? Is this a comman practice in the t-shirt industry? Should I not do it? I want to help out in my community but can't afford to sponser anything right now. Any thoughts would be appreciated!

if you can use the work, yes. Do something.

as for how many points to give, only you can answer that according to your operation, overhead etc. But, in general, this person will be acting the part of a sales agent.

Because you will be doing the work and the sales agent taking orders, I would think 5-15% for sales agents are the norm. But again, it really depends on what you can afford to give to make it worth your time and labour etc....

In this case the sales agent is also the designer (or at least the intellectual property owner), so it's a bit different.

Still, the printer should still get the lion's share of the cut. In this case, you could use Cafepress and the like (fulfillment centres in other words; which is what you'd be doing) as a reference point.

Awsome..thanx everyone. All very helpful information. It is easy for me to do small quantities with my printer plotter, so I will make him an offer that works for both of us. He also offered fitness training to trade or to have my website on each item.
