Generally, you want to avoid that extra step if possible. The person doing the printing in most cases can get the shirt cheaper than you can because of their volume. Additionally, the shirts can then be shipped directly to the printer instead of coming through you.

I would decide on a printer first, and get prices with and without the shirts being provided. Then see what the cost would be for you to buy shirts.

There are a lot of recommendations for shirt suppliers in this forum, both with and without a wholesale license.
