Do you need to separate the jerseys when heat pressing with thermo grip?

When applying thermo grip, names and numbers to 100% Nylon mesh football practice jerseys, Is it necessary to open (separate front and back)the jersey? Or can I just put it on the heat press like a regular shirt. I am putting the names and number on the back, the front already have a design on them. I am worried that with the small mesh holes that it will stick together (front and back). Thanks.

We would recommend splitting the layers of mesh when heat pressing - you can either thread it onto the lower platen of your press or insert a teflon sheet in between the layers.

I completed the job, splitting the jersey on the lower platen, It worked great and I was very pleased with the outcome. The team also thought they looked great!! Definitely will use the product again.

It does work well. We use it all the time.

Stahls support is great too.

Hard to beat something that works and people that are there to help you.
