I would be really careful of buying one of these cheap heat presses. The problem with alot of them is uneven heat and not so great customer support. If you buy a name brand press usually the heating element has a lifetime gaurentee on them. They also are made really well and cold spots are very unusual in the name brand presses. If you plan on doing 80 shirts per day, I would definately buy the equipment that will support that volume. You will want something that is going to hold up well and a name brand press such as Hix or stahls will do that for you. Even if you have to find a used one, you will be better off with a used name brand over a new cheap one. Hope this helps.

There is one brand that is a cheap brand that some seem to have had luck with, its called sunie and I do believe it is also sold on ebay. If you search in the top search box here for sunie, you will find a link to a thread that others who have bought this brand have giving reviews.

thanks a lot your detailed info , good luck :)
thanx i was also interested in heat presses and now these will be on my list. how would i know if these people will be at teh long beach convention going on on jan 23. Ruia
The long beach show is a great place to buy a press. Not only are all the name brands sold there but if you talk to them early on in the show, ask them about the demo specials they will have. They usually sell the ones they bring as demos at the end of the show for really great discounted prices. That way they dont have to haul them back with them :) Most are sold thru resellers there such as coastal supply and others that sell heat press and transfer materials. The Long beach show is a great place to get a great deal on a press :)
I hope you didn't buy it.

Hi. :)

Do you have any more information to add to explain why you say that? Thanks.
I started to buy one off ebay. I asked the seller to disclose the brand. He seemed hesitant. So I used photoshop to zoom in. I found XMTE followed by Chinese characters. I was also suspicious that the photos of the manual were a different color than the actual product. I have learned to always type in "Review of" whatever I want to buy in Google.
When Idid this on the XMTE press, I saw a few horror stories. Don't take my word for it though. Contact pressdoctor.com. Give them a call and they will tell you horror stories of American companies that slap their sticker on Chinese presses that they can't get parts for.
My Made in the USA Knight DK20 arrives UPS tommorrow. Do your homework. Read the reviews!!!:D
hi guys!

im a victim of the xmte press:(:(:(

Sorry to hear. :(

What happened with your press?
I got egg on my face!!! Bought a Senko 4 in 1 press from ???? Can't get a replacement owners manual or operating instructions,,,,Can anyone help?
Unfortunately bought the XMTE press. No operating instructions. NO idea how to get it to even warm up. Will try to return. Does anyone have instructions for the XMTE 3000 Paramount Heat Press.

So here is the follow up for those in my situation. I did purchase the XMTE from ebay. It did not warm up when I tried to use it and it had no manual. I contacted the seller through ebay. He responded promptly and asked for my phone number. He sent me the instruction manual and settings diagram via email. He told me to contact him if I needed additional support.

My husband does electrical work so he tested the connections in the unit. A wire was loose and not making good contact. He fixed the wire and the unit works well. We have done some test prints. It heated up quickly. But keep in mind that this is a hobby and not a high volume shop.

I wish the seller would post the instructions or include them in the box with the machine. I wish they would post the support email address so those who purchase this unit will have someone to contact.
Always best to purchase from a company who has transparency and can provide the custom service when needed.

Thank you! Yes I agree. Our future purchases will be those recommended in this forum.
Re: do you know this brand ? THE SOLUTION

Hello Everyone,

Unfortunately I am a victim of the XTME 300 Paramount Heat Press. At first it came with no instructions, however it worked... for a while then. One day I turned it on and it stopped warming up. The temperature would go between (80 -110). Well I have figured out the problem and I am leaking it to you all (the public). Well if you are having the same problem I had then have a someone who knows electrical works (ex. Electrician). Once you get them have them use wrenches to take off the top surface panel (the top cover of the hot part). Take that off carefully, the you should see a connector with wires connected to them. If the wires are burnt there is your problem. Have the electrician take it off and replace it with a new connector( you would want to buy a stainless steel connector instead of the faulty aluminum connector it came with) which is the reason why it wont heat up right. Once replaced put the top cover back of securely. Then give it 2-3 mins to settle. Next flip the switch and go to the panel on the left for the temperature and press and hold "set" button and once prompted to the screen on the panel should say "sp" and press the up arrow on the panel and set it to the temperature you need. (Also if you are not sure what your heat press is on as in Fahrenheit or Celsius, keep pressing the "set" button until you come across the screen on the panel says "c-f" just use the the up arrow to change it to the measurement you want) and once you have that then keep holding the "set" button until you get back to the first screen that shows the temperature rising and once starts rising then that means the replacement was a success. And if you see the the temp. go down 2 or 3 degrees do not be alarmed. The heat press is just getting used to the new connector. And I hope that this helps everyone with this problem. And of you need further assistance just email me at [email protected]

Thank You and Best of Luck

Hi I also bought a Paramount.press with the XMTE -3000 heating circuit . It arrived.DOA so I took a peak to.see what was happening and first of all when I turned it.on and lowered the.press the.timer sound came.on.so I had to set the.time.so it woudnt sound instantly as I lowered the platen . That worked ok. The second problem I had was that the heating circuit or panel.that shows the.temperature was not.turning.on so.I didn't have any heat , opened up the back wall and looked around and I.found 2 problems the.first one.was.that a cable that runs fro the.solid state relay to.the.heating panel was .it connected it was very loose, so I tightened it, the other problem I had was that the other cable (red power cable that was next to.the.one.I.previously connected had a false contact so.I had.to.move it.around a little to make.it.turn.on, that was probably a manufacturing problem because I had to loosen the red cable a.little.bit to make it work, other than that I haven't found a cold spot on the platen it's a 24x16 press and other then the lack of quality control the company has.the press seems to.be.ok . Let's face it if we are looking a t buying a cheap press compared to.the.brand name ones clearly were starting out and on a budget and I don't blame you for trying, I have a 13"x13" his press and I.can tell you the investment is.worth it but.if you want to. It.a 16x20 or 16x24 the price tag on a name brand is more than double what I played. If you need the manual I can scan
One for you no problem

Could you post the contents of the email, or a summary of the instructions here? We have the same machine here, but are currently guessing the settings! Thanks.
