I have a customer that had a problem of rusty water and did a white load of laundry and 10 of 15 new white shirts where in there. Is there anything out there that she could wash them with to get them white again?
Thanks,
Kimsie
Hi there! I have heard CLR works with laundry. It's for hard water stains. But its made to get the rust off of porcelain.I've heard you can dilute it with water and use it on stains. Hope this helps.Oh and you get it at the hardware store.
There is a product that is specially formulated for removing rust from fabrics. It is available in the spot remover section by the laundry detergent of most grocery stores. Can't think of the brand name but it is in a small brown bottle with a white lid. I have used it to remove rust stains from lace curtains so it is mild on fabric.
On spots you can use lemon juice and salt. Saturate the spot with the juice and make the salt into a paste and cover the spot. Put the tee outside in the sun for an hour or so and then wash.
