I was wondering if companies like Ralph Lauren use simple clipart images for some graphics tees or is EVERYTHING drawn up from scratch? Like I saw a Polo tee with a moose sihlouette standing on a mountain top.

Could you recognize the moose or the mountain top? Just kidding.. Almost everyone involved in fashion tees that are sold to stores, resort stores, larger chains, like for example a Hard Rock is creating designs with their own staff or in some cases freelancers.. They want to be involved in what is fashionable or perceived to be fashionable at the time.. They want to own the art, on and on.. Everyone finds creativity in different places.. When I create I may see something that strikes a cord with me and I say " that will sell" but rather than just knock it off I try to create something different that says the same thing to me.. The moose for example hopefully was done just a little bit different than the moose next door..

It's not that hard to create a silhouette of a moose on a mountain top from scratch. So I'm sure companies have artists talented enough to create those images fairly quickly. That said, I'm sure art departments do purchase vector packs to use in their designs. Unless you find a vector pack with the exact same moose silhouette, I'm not sure you would ever know the difference.
