Hi Friends,

Well, no surprise - due to the economy, my husband has just lost his job. Right when I am only working PT so I can start MY business!
He's been considering Cafepress for a while, and I've offered to do any artwork he needs. Well, no time like the present!! He is famous for his wit and is always coming up with really "bankable" sayings and observations that no one else seems to have thought of, and would be perfect for T's, mugs, and bumperstickers. Being a professional artist, I can do quick and good one-color art. Here's the question (and I promise he'll join the Forum and ask his own questions in the future - right now he's too bummed out): I have not been able to find out if we need to vector the fonts and graphics for Cafepress. All their site says is to make sure fonts ands graphics are high resolution, saved as PNG.
I don't know Illustrator or Photoshop except maybe to import and export! (I use other graphics programs.) I can pay Vector Magic if I have to. Thanks everyone,

Inkie

Sorry to hear about the job lost :(
You just have to save as .png the image.
Most graphics programs would do it.
In Illustrator you export as .jpg or even better to .png.
In Photoshop save as .png

Best luck

you should probably "expand" your font fill so just in case cafepress doesnt have that specific font they cn still see it and do want needs to be done. in illustrator I believe you go to "object" and select "expand" the font will then appear as any other editable drawing.

tell your hubby to keep his head up...something better might be on the way.

Thank you both for your kind words and helpful advice. This sure makes things a lot easier. And you're right, who knows what doors might open as situations change? Could even be for the better!

Regards,
Inkie
