hey hie,
m new to this forum m jst 20 n thinking to do something big m jst abt to start a business n wanna sell via website only
so do i need to register my business anywhere ? is there any legal formalities to acomplish with ? according to indian law ?? plz help

Hi!

Do not panic! Just follow the same steps if you would open any other business.

1)You need to get a tax ID number in order to pay income taxes when time will come. Fine a IRS office in your aria and just give the a call or go there, they will help you to understand how does it work.....(free of charge)

2) You need to register your business name.You will start as self employed, right? so, you need to register your business name. It must be a spacial office in your aria as well.(it will cost you $80.00 more or less)...

3)You need to register your business address, it can be a working space at your home since you are self-employed (do not remember costs...some where around $300)

4)You will need to get a seller permit, it is very simple. You can make it online at Board of Equalization website.

5) You will need to get your business license (given per year, costs may very $120-200 per year...)

All this you will need to start your work. Do not worry, it is pretty fast to get this all. Just do it !
