i was just reading another thread where a member wants to use Inkjet printing for the shirts.

What major Brands are printing shirts with Inkjet T-Shirt printers ?

....don't own a jet-shirt yet, how do they wash ? are they like screen print quality ?

thanks in advance. :)

I believe some t-shirt brands such as Colorado have purchased some DTG printers such as the Kornit. I doubt many would buy them as they are limited in output compared to screenprinting.

Washing is fine and comparable to screen-printing IF it is cured properly. AFAIK, screen printing is around 72dpi? DTG printing usually starts at 360dpi+. Way more color options then Screen printing.

Majority of companies - especially big companies - that are printing t-shirts for retail sale will still be screen printing. I suspect the number of Heat transfer or DTG shops to go up as the technology improves. However, I think screen printing will still be the top pick for large companies printing a ton of shirts - it just works better for large quantity, is better established, and offers good quality.
