Do American Apparel/Trendy Blanks Kids tees run true to size?

Their size charts are wacky on their website. :( Since I have been having the sizing problem, I am leery of buying from them. I have heard on one of my crafting forums that AA infant & toddler shirts also run about a size small. ANyone have direct experience with how their sizes run?

AA is pretty much true to size. Maybe 1/2 a size smaller but it's pretty close.

I do notice on some sites that use AA (shirt.woot for example) they recommend buying the next size up.

Can't speak on trendy kids.

My suggestion to you is to get samples, wear and wash them yourself (OK maybe not the trendy kids one) then decide.

Thank you - I actually called them and the man on the phone said he has heard people say how suprised they are that the infant/toddler ones run so small. Back to the drawing board....
American Apparel/TrendyBlanks DEFINITELY run a full size small in the toddler/youth sizes.
They are the exact reason I'm here today, looking for a new blank vendor who has shirts that run true to size, specifically because I just shipped out a wholesale order and the buyer informed me that compared to her other upscale children's boutique lines, my shirts were all a full size too small. And that was after I sized up and re-tagged with what I thought were more accurate size labels! According to her comparisons between me and other lines, American Apparel's 2=18-24 mos, 4=2T, 6=3T, so I would actually have to go up to an AA Youth 8 just to get a 4T, but then the darn sleeves and body are WAYYYYY too long. Just a bad cut overall. The babies lap-shoulder tees all seem to be okay though. Also, the long-sleeved toddler/youth tees have a very small neck and the bodies run very narrow. I am going to try Monag, and am about to post here to ask about their sizing. I have tried their baby gowns and the quality is very nice so far. :)

That's exactly what I had to do with Rabbit Skins - relabel EVERYTHING. For my toddler plain and ruffled tees I am going to a small outfit who is going to sew them for me and I am going to dye them myself. I have all the equipment and professional dyes and chemicals so that's no biggie. For infant lap tees I am going to buy them from Bella or someplace like that and only offer white, pink, blue and yellow.
CUTE CUTE shop you have, and I TOTALLY understand the twin thing...I have a pair of my own! :) Two boys who turned six last month! It is a crazy, crazy world we share, but I wouldn't trade it for anything! MOST days, anyway! ;)

Thank you! And how cool you have twins, too! Mine turn 2 tomorrow, frat girls. And before this spins off into a "twin mama" thread I'm going to PM you! :D
