I use a 3 ft galvanised steel water trough from a local farm supplies store (£65) with some 4ft x 3ft sheets of Correx/Correplast bent to form the back and sides.

Cost me a total of £80. The price of an of the shelf booth is about £400 in the UK.

Thank you for responding----- I am probably going to use a rubbermaid type container-- same type of thing. I was hoping to get a bunch of photos or ideas but there must not be that much traffic here :0)

I use a double wide plastic laundry sink. Ones that wide often have two basins, but mine has one large single basin. For a backdrop at the back and sides, I have an old shower curtain that I have attached to the ceiling with strips of wood. I built a stand for it from 2x4s. I cut down the standpipe for the laundry drain and plumbed it into that (the washer hose now empties into the sink, which is what the sink was made for). Been using it for over 3 years now, no complaints, and the price was right. Ordered it from Home Depot online.

I made a cheap washout booth more than ten years ago and I still use it. I published a PDF of plans for it awhile back and I'd be happy to forward them to anyone who sends me a PM.

Hey,

I like the homeaid idea. Blackline can forget getting my money.

I made mine out of one of those big plastic cubes you see around construction sites or on trucks sometime. They have a metal cage around them but it is easily removed. You can just cut it to the desired shape, thats what i did works like a charm and they already have an on/off 1/4 turn valve and you can add a pvc pipe for your drain. I bought mine off craigs for $50. Search "IBC Tote"

Hope this helps some.

I found plans online for a booth made from a chemical tote.

I got a free tote from a farm chemical dealer because they punctured holes in it with a pressure washer when they were cleaning it out.

I cut the top section of the cage off, flipped the cage upside down for a stand and put the cut off piece around the tub to help keep it in place.

The drain on the tub hooked right up to the drain plumbing in our building.

I used PVC pipe with some end caps to make a screen holder. I had to do a little bit of bracing using the PVC because the tote lost some of its structural integrity when I cut the front off.

Free tote, about 2 hours to build and the time it took to hook up the drain.
