trying to figure out how i can print an effect like the following attachment...

Are you creating the graphics yourself? There is an easy trick to this if you are, particularly with photoshop and illustrator.

Yes i use photoshop too.

I answered a similar question yesterday, let me see if I can find it and I'll point you to it, or copy/paste the answer here.

Here's one way to do it, I've used this method for many, many texture effects over graphics. hope this helps.
