Hey guys!

I want to know your opinion on when will be the right time to give out discounts and free giveaways. I just launched yesterday and I know I have a long way to go and it will take time to make sales. Is it a good idea to give out discounted items on my 2nd day of launching or should I wait a while?

Thanks!

Build a pricing matrix and stick to it....volume will take care of discounts, through your pricing structure...
you may offer for 'new clients first order' something extra on first order as a new printer; this I would do through adding giveaways (something other than the order that you are printing)... we have found that when you offer a pure 'discount' to a client, that price sticks with them throughout...the matrix will discourage this... If you want to use discount, I would never go past the first order and make it clear that this would be the pricing for this order only... the pricing matrix, as a start, keeps you out of trouble....gives a consistent price to all clients.. as you progress through time, you can 'customize' prices for volume clients; it will be worth it then.

I wouldn't discount on the 2nd day. In fact, I personally wouldn't discount until you have another collection coming out and you need to make room.

When your brand is new it takes time for you to build a customer base. You should focus your energy on getting your name out.

Just so you know making a online sale is a lot harder than doing it face to face. That's because people cant physically touch and see what their buying. I hope this helps.
