We do a lot of Waterbased and Discharge printing, however I have a client looking for the same process on Bandanas. They gave me a sample where the design is visible on both sides. We've been trying to replicate the look, but aren't quite there yet. Does anyone have any advice to give? We've been trying clear and white discharge on colored bandanas. We wash the bandana first. But we're not getting a complete clear image on both sides. Next we will try a colored waterbased ink (with penetrant) on a white bandana.

Most bandanas arnt 2 sided intentionally. The twosided print ends up because the ink/dye seeps though to the other side. If you notice, one side is bright and clear, the other is a bit dull and not so clean looking. Its the only way to do it w/o having to print both sides... i think

tough one. we have a client that does discharge on bandanas but one side. if you have to you can add something to help it penetrate more and up the amount of ZFS powder in the discharge. Doing that you risk emuslion breakdown at a higher rate. we did this on a t shirt once and it worked but bandana could be a whole new story.
