I’m new to film & was thinking of using, what I heard of as, Capillary Film cuz I’m trying to print CMYK & I CANNOT get an even emulsion coat to save my life..but I’m wanna kno what’s the difference between Direct & Indirect Film? Thanx
Indirect film is a much more complicated method.
The films are gelatin based and can be used for solvent based inks only (plastisol is OK).
You expose, develop, and and wash the film on its carrier, and then stick it on the screen.
Capillary film is not the same as indirect film.
It is simply dried emulsion on a carrier sheet, and it is exposed on the screen the same way as direct emulsion.
