Go to a trade show, and get a tank used for display, often times you will save alot of money. The vendors love to sell thier displays at the shows, less to pack up and bring back. We picked ours up at ISS New England.

Ryonet has a great one for a couple hundred bucks and change that comes with the fluid.

Works great!

If you use something not intended for the purpose, test it first to be sure that it will hold up to the chemicals. You don't want it to break down and have all that liquid everywhere.

Buy a sheet of .25 polypropylene, a Leister hot air heat welder, a few polypro rods and make a couple yourself! The 4x8 sheet will cost $75 and you can probably make 2 for sure. The welder costs $300, but you can immediately sell it and recoup most of that money. Maybe you spend $150 and get $800 worth of diptanks.

Oh yeah...

What is your time worth??

If new is too pricey, keep your eyes open for used ones in the classified section of this forum, or at
www.digitsmith.com the problem with using a trash can or something is your using way more chemicals to get the level right, so in the long run, it's cheaper to just buy one made for the job.

I was doing some research and I think a Underbed storage container would work for smaller screens.
Target or Walmart cheap.
