Is there a difference between these two models, Epson 1400 and R1400. Amazon sells both separately, but I'm not sure if there is a difference. Any idea?

So tj can a guy buy the epson 1400 and the rip software separately. Because if you can you can save some money that way. Will they work the same if you buy them together verse separately.

Doesn't the "R" refer to it being a raster printer and able to print real halftones instead of banded printing?
