Diamondback C frames

I want to buy a Diamondback C in 2018 so I’ve been watching for some used items I know I’ll need with a new automatic like a stretching table.
I see one used for sale so I looked at the Diamondback specs to see if it will work, the max frame sizes is 21”x28”. I’ve never seen this size in Neman frames, can I not use retesionable frames with the C?

They actually do make this size. They have to be ordered or you have to what I did. My auto has the same size restriction. I have several 23x28 screens and found some 18x20 screens. Those are ID so 21x23 so I took top and bottom and made my own. Was able to pick up the 18x20 for $7ea. After doing all that I discovered that I could use the 23x26 screens fit by moving screen clamp as my press have front and rear clamps.
So the 23x26 with the square bar fits? Do you have a stretching table, what model for this size frame?

It does on my press, Not a M&R but on mine it’s max is 21X28. But by moving the rear screen clamp forward it allows a 23X26. Looking at the press I see it has side clamps. 21 maybe the max. If your going to use a rear clamp manual then square the way to go. If your side clamps you can get 4 rollers. Although not technically a special size for Newman since the 18x20’s are actually 21X23 as they are the only Newman’s measured inside and the 23x26-28 are both outside and can be ordered with and without square bar as well as 21X28. There are some on DigitSmith from time to time

I do have a table and it’s a LX. Only for the MZX 18X20, 23x26 and 23x28 square bar frames. The older LX model don’t accommodate the longer frames which is what I have and just removed square bar clamp and use a quick clamp to hold in place.

For all roller MZX frames and M3 you need a L2 model. There have been several on DigitSmith for awhile and don’t think I ever seen marked sold. Used usually $1200-2000.

If a older LX model will work they sell cheap. Bought mine for $350 had shipped from GA to IN for $132
