Hello everyone! I might ask an ancient question. So here I go!

What is the best or necessary desktop printers compatible for both heat press and screen print (with accurip from ryonet)?

coz Ryonet prefers Epson 1400 for screen print. And my friend prefers Epson T13 for heat press. (they're both inkjet, and I understand, inkjets work best with films/plastic)

Also, for screen printing, there are people who use laser printer to print on semi-transparent paper (not plastic, because inkjet blots on transparent paper).

so i want to use a printer that can be used for both, doesn't have to be expensive too. :)

Thanks so much!

(should I post this on the screen printing forum too?)

The 1400 is an A3 "dye" printer and prints upto approximately 13"x19" size images. Dye inks are preferred for printing screen printing transparencies as it is said to have a better density than pigment inks. Dye inks can be used to print on transfer papers but is more "selective" and is not water resistant.

The T13 is an A4 pigment printer printing upto roughly 8"x11" paper. Pigment ink is more water resistant and preferred for heat transfer.

If you must choose only one printer go for a pigment printer(durabrite) and the A3 Epson Workforce 1100 should be a good choice.
