Hey Gang,

I am a graphic designer/illustrator (emphasis on illustrator) who owns an established e-commerce apparel brand in a highly competitive niche targeting veterans.

I do all of my own shirt designs/vectors and for the last four years I have outsourced all of my printing locally. I am interested in reducing the amount of printed inventory I hold by printing smaller jobs myself in-shop as well as expanding my product catalog to include hats, flags, bags etc.

I am looking to tweak my business model a bit by adding in-house printing capabilities and a variety of new products for my customers.

I recently purchased a used 4-color press, exposure unit, heat press and a few other related items which we are currently setting up in our warehouse. I have never printed before but from hanging out at my printer's shop for years I have a basic understanding of the process. I am a big fan of learning by doing and am looking forward to getting this side of my business up and running so I can start playing around and experimenting with the new media, I love to create things from scratch.

I am looking forward to learning from all of you salty, grizzled vets out there as well as offering my advice in return on vectors and setting design up for print.

Please feel free to reach out if I can be of assistance in any way.

Cheers

OUT-standing!

We have found them to be a nice kicker that surprises new customers when their orders arrive as well as an effective way to drive up the average cart value.

Plus they are fun to make and stick up around the shop.

Happy cutting

Saw your post and wondering if you might have a need for custom made caps for your designs to be able to sell completed caps made anyway you want them made and the embroidery is done before the cap is put together, l'm just revanping my website and hopefully have something within about 2 weeks, my minimum order for custom caps 144 pieces, is this something you could handle, then you could go to retail locations and sell in smaller quanties. I can be contacted at [email protected] at the present.
