You are probably right. The designer is one of the main reasons for me paying for it. CustomInk and others seem to do well with their online designers. Customink and Vista Print designers, for example, are flawless. I'm attracting visitors but not a lot of sales from the designer. Vistors usually bounce off the site from the designer page. I may need to rethink that whole concept. We just opened a deco store and if it were my choice, we wouldn't use the designer at all. I think it's too confusing for the average customer and someone who wants a truly custom garment is going to want a professional to design it.
The biggest problem, at least as I see it right now, is that when you go to the designer page, the top of the page navigation disappears. The only way to navigate back is the X in the top right and it's definitely disconcerting for most customersYou are probably right. The designer is one of the main reasons for me paying for it. Are you using the D8 updated version? The biggest problem, at least as I see it right now, is that when you go to the designer page, the top of the page navigation disappears. The only way to navigate back is the X in the top right and it's definitely disconcerting for most customers
Yah, I'm on D8. I actually just figured out how to get the nav to show on the designer, but it's still real clunky and ugly. Might have to try to messing around with the custom css but it's hard to figure out what needs to be targetedAre you using the D8 updated version?
I'm not promoting any designs in the online designer. What are you talking about? I was just stating that a lot of website visitors seem to bounce off the site after visiting the designer page which is where you add text or upload an image and place your order.I believe people have unrealistic expectations of an on-line designer. If you are successful already an on-line tool like Deco is very useful. If you are struggling you will probably continue to struggle. The other issue is people will typically blame the on-line design tool for lack of sales yet could it actually be the designs or substrates are the actual problem?
