GCC expert 24 Cutter Question
I am very interested in making decals for myself. I am currently buying my decals and this is getting VERY expensive with the cost of the decal, shipping and waiting time for it to arrive. I will be basically making letters, numbers and logo designs with 3 or 4 color vinyl. I don't have a clue as to what I need or where to begin, but with this site, I can now head in the right direction. With me being a beginner, I am thinking that the GCC expert 24 cutter will be my best bet according to this site and my limited budget (any other recommendation are welcome) am I still better off investing into a Roland? Although I see a $1700 cutter taking me years to earn my money back. If it's as easy as everyone says, then the t-shirt could be something that I do later on. Besides me buying the vinyl, paper, squeegee, knives..... is there going to be additional software that I am going to need with this cutter? It only comes with GreatCut, but I see others using something like Coral and Ill. I notice that the more expensive cutters also come with dvd training videos and editing software and additional fonts and graphics for you to start out with. Is that necessary?
I guess my biggest concern is... what's the absolute easiest for a beginner, and what excatly do I need to purchase to make this experience as easy as possible. My computer is XP, I am a fairly easy learner. I have found this cutter on a preferred vendor.... Imprintables Warehouse????
