Hi, just received badges in the mail for the DAX show in Chicago, and am a little bit excited. This is the first show for me and I was wondering if this is in your opinion a show worth attending, or does it pale in comparison to the NBM, ISS, etc and not worth the time. Thanks

Definitely worth the time. A lot of stuff in a little space. Last year was my first year, made many connections that I still use today.

I found the Chicago DAX show last year to be a very good show, and I'm going again this year. Of course a show can be what you make of it. Ask a lot of questions and get a little hands on if possible. Check in advance who is going to be there and which ones you want to see. The time can fly by pretty fast, and you'll be disappointed if you miss an exhibitor that you wanted to check out. Here is the link to this year's exhibitors. http://www.daxshow.com/index.php?shownumber=27&action=exhiblist

How many other forum members will be there this year?

Are there any other shows like this in the Chicago area? When are they?
I just got my badge too! I am excited! This is my first show.
I spent the day there, lot to see, I really liked the anatol lightning manual. seriously thinking of pulling the trigger and buying one.
Just got back from the show. It was pretty good, and Saturday they are there too. I got to play with the micros on Vastex, M&R, Brown, Hopkins, and Anatol presses. Also got to see some Screen Printing with a foil application done. Talked to several suppliers that are near the west and north Chicago area. Took a closer look at Dye Sublimation, several art packages, and of course collected the usual flyers and such.
Got back to Iowa after spending the last 2 days at the show. Got an anatol lightning 6/4, well I got to go back and get it from anatol mfg when they get it ready. I am excited, it seems like a well built press, tried it and bought it at the northwest booth. Also picked up a hix ht 600p, franmar chemicals and screens and squeegies. At first, I thought that it was small and I wouldn't spend much time there, but ended up staying until 2 on sat. I still had more to see

How was the Vastex? Can you compare it to the Anatol?

I didnt look at the vastek up close, once I seen the price, I shied away from getting too interested. I will say it looked solid , ( a monster of a press). I didnt check out the micros, so I can't say how those were. The anatol's were solid too, but hey I am updgrading from a Ryonet 6/2 with old style micros. and have only screened a few months. My opinion is uneducated, compared to most of you.
