Hi there,
Does anyone know of any tutorials that will teach me how to cut the backing/stabilizer from my finished embroidery designs? Thanks.

I think the general rule of thumb is to leave 1/4 inch all the way around the design.Backing cuts easy. Once you make the first cut you can easily slide the scissors following the design .

I find it easier to hold the stabilizer as I cut rather than holding the garment. This decreases the risk of cutting the garment.

I trim the backing about 1/4 inch around the design. I also hold the backing when I cut. I'm always careful because cutting the garment is very easy to do. .... JB

I had the embroidery job from Hell, and sure enough, on the last of 100 shirts, I cut a whole in the shirt because I wasn't paying attention and got too close.
