Hey Guys

Iv been trying to print onto poli-print digital adhesive with some designs and having issues.

I can print with a coloured circle and then a design inside without issues.

The problem comes when i have a transparent background and then a cutline. I save as EPS and when saving it says there maybe different results when saving with transparent in the design. Does anyone know how to get around this ?

Iv tried PDF and it came out ok but the colours where very poor, how do i keep the quality when saving PDF ? im just using normal colours a RGB.

I am using Illustrator and i have a Roland BN-20 any advice appreciated.

Cheers
Chris

Are you using standard versaworks or versaworks dual?

You get them from either...
Roland website
Material manufactures website
Create your own

Versaworks dual doesn't have the transparency issues that standard versaworks has. So that shouldn't be your issue which is what I was originally thinking. Sorry no good suggestions at the moment.

Yea but there is so many profiles which do choose ? just the generic Roland ones ?

Also which profile would i use for the Poli media ? Iv been on the roland website looking at profile and when i click poli tape as the manu nothing appears for the BN-20 :S
Im just saving a banner so i can see how it prints and heres the soft error i get -

"when spot colours are used with transparency, changing them to process colours outside of Illustrator can generate unexpected results."

What colours should i be using for print ? should i be printing RGB ? i have read some do and some dont so im not sure exactly. So much new information to learn.
