What do DTG printers use to cure there shirts? We had always known that the heat press took some of the color and vibrancy out of the shirt but only recently took some shirts and coozies to a screen printer to cure through a conveyor dryer. The difference is huge. haven't tried any 50/50 garments but can imagine they would come out better as well. If you are using a conveyor what brand and size are you using? Thanks

I use a conveyor dryer from Brown Digital to cure all prints coming off of our Brother GT-381s, 330F for 3min. This is very close to the standard, but with a small alteration because of heather grey hoodie burning. There was an issue with the sweaters/hoodies scorching because of the thicker material. Underbase Brother prints will never look good coming off of a heatpress. You will always have fibers sticking up through the print, giving it an ugly texture and ruining the consistency of the colors in your print. Go with a conveyor dryer. (CMYK prints still fare just fine under a heatpress, though.)
