Hi, all-

What kind of problems do you encounter when printing on both sides of a shirt using dtg?

Specifically I'm wondering if curing the second imprint can cause problems with the first imprint. It seems to me that even with a piece of cardboard or cardstock inside the shirt, the first imprint is going to get hot enough to "cure again" and I've read and been told that over curing a shirt can cause it to wash out.

Yes, no?

Are there any other considerations?

Thanks!

You should have no problems printing and drying both sides of a shirt. You might want to put a sheet of parchment paper on the rubber bottom of your heat press to prevent any ink offset. There is also no problem with heat being applied again to a previously cured print.

Most heat presses allow you to put a single side of the shirt over it to cure without doing or re-doing the other side that has already cured, if you are thinking about printing both sides before attempting to cure them than I would not recommend this as there is no way to keep the first wet print from smearing.
