WHAT TEMPS AND TIMES DO YOU ALL USE, FOR BEST RESULTS

I am sure this has been brought up before, I am new to cup sublimation.
I am Using a mug press, and 400F for 145 seconds.

Finding the bottom of the mug is "fuzzy" from either not hot enough or not enought time.
ANYONE.

Mug presses are different. Some will preheat others not, but in any case your temp is fine but you need more time. With my mug press I do 4-5 minutes. Don't have you design all the way to bottom. The bottom is thicker than the sides. Try to leave equal distance from the top as the bottom.

You can preheat the mug using a hot plate of sorts before you place the mug in the press. This will have the bottom preheated enough before you go to press.

I disagree about using more time, what happens is that the areas which are not not fuzzy but clear will overcook. Once you get the bottom part of your images correct the upper areas are overdone. Been there done that.

If the hot plate doesn't work for you suggest to use wraps in an oven. It takes more time but the mug is heated up gradually and the ceramic is much more evenly heated with wraps.
First you need to post a picture or the name of the mug press. I have 3 different settings on mines so it could be different from yours.
Here is what i tried:
in the open end of the mug press i placed an insulated pot holder to keep in the heat. WORKED GREAT. No clouds on the bottom..
Now I will design my own heat plug to keep in the heat..
Thank you all.
