You should design at 300dpi at one size larger than your desired print size as a rule of thumb. That way you can use the graphic for other larger things if needed. CorelDRAW is good for vector artwork (ie. lines and shapes), Photo Paint is ok for raster artwork (images/photos etc).
Hope that helps :)
i tried playing around with it tho and when i would size my image it didnt look so good im very familer with x5 but not paint more help ?
You will see pixelation when enlarging the view heaps on screen but have you printed one to see? Its very different to working with vectors in CorelDRAW as you are looking at square pixels in paint. Just have to keep in mind how big you are viewing on screen and how it relates to your final print size.
CMYK, 300dpi, it's the main setting for printing. But if you use Corel then let the design printed as vector, otherwise, make sure the image is in proper dpi when printed
The industry standard I have worked with is no less than 72 DPI (PPI) at actual print size. We use this for vehicle wraps, wall graphics etc. I try not to go below 120 PPI at print size for anything people will get close to. I can email anyone a sample print to show the effects and differences of PPI in a graphic. If you want one, email me at steven@Imprintables.com. Make sure to let me know what you are looking for as I get a lot of emails!
