I just purchased a Roland GX-24. I would like to take my tajima applique file and create a cut file from that. So...I took my applique file, deleted everything by the trace outline, exported it as a .jpg. Went to Corel Ver12 and imported it in. Traced the file and exported it as a .plt (plotter file). Then I went to Roland Cut Studio and imported it in....and.....it didn't work.

Can anyone help? I am at my witt's end!!

i don't know if the roland will recognize that file or not. can't you export (or import it or open etc......sorry i use illustrator and the cutstudio plugin) as a standard corel file or eps?

i think you'll really like this forum. also be aware that there are sub sections here that are for vinyl cutters and even embroidery. look around you'll be amazed. good luck and i hope this helps.

Use the Roland CutStudio plugin for Corel and you can eliminate the .PLT step - just push a button and you are instantly in Cut Studio with the correct vector shapes.
