This week I had some sweatshirts printed and the ink was cracked, they replace the sweatshirt but at the same time they told me that someone had used cracking ink which makes the logo/ink crack to give it a crack look/ vintage look..
So I went online and can't find anything about special cracking ink.
Does anyone know anything about special cracking ink or was it a lie?
thank you

There are many specialty inks that can do all kinds of neat things, including cracking, 3D, glow in the dark, puff, reflective, etc.

I wouldn't beat them up too much or go out of your way to prove them liars. Mistakes happen. You got your order replaced.

I can confirm that there are specialty inks used to create a cracked effect. I know it sounds strange, but fashion is weird, and cracked ink makes at least as much sense as cropped hoodies :p

Wilflex seems to be on the cutting edge of specialty inks. Besides their Brittle for cracked ink look, they have inks that can mimic embroidery, applique, leather, suede, cork, sponge, and other cool looking patterns.
