Hi everyone, I am running a Tjet2 machine with the counter. Last week I was running a job which required 2 layers of color. The counter was set to 2. I would start the print and it would do layer 1 without a problem then when it got to where it should automaticly load for layer 2 it does not. The counter does change to reflect that the first layer was printed but does not load automaticly anymore. Has anyone else had this problem or have a suggestion to get it loading again. Its been working great for years and i just started having this problem reciently. Thanks in advance for all the help.

When it fails to load does, it eject the shirt? does the load light flash? or does it just sit there like it's finished it's printing cycle?

Also if you hit the load button does it go ahead and load and print the correct ink layer?

If counter is set to 2:We hit load
Loads runns first layer
ejects,
counter goes to 1 but does not auto load and load light is solid.
we manually load... second pass runs proper image (second pass) and ejects

If it doesn't do it all the time...only occasionally, and your sure the height sensor isn't being tripped, eject the bed and clean the top of the sides of the drawer, and the top surface area of the front and back of the drawer....reason being is that we have had this issue several times and it has always been a small speck of dried ink or something on the top of the drawer tripping the sensor, but when you look it's green not red......but cleaning it has solved the problem.

Hope this helps.

Same problem for me...any answers out there?

From Joey in our Support Department:

Load the shirt holder tray into the printer so you can access the cover over the front of the printer. Take off the cover. You will see a circuit board with white and blue wires going to CN14. Make sure the connectors for those wires are pushed on securely. They can come loose.

You can also check the wiring at the counter. Carefully take off the chrome cover that the counter is attached to. Check for loose connections and also check that the crimped on wire connectors are not loose at the crimp points.

Yup CN14 connector under the front bed cover was just not seated all the way down...just a 4 pin connector with 2 wires.

Thanks EQ Zone

Happy to help. In most cases when we see pass counter issues the user was not careful taking the chrome cover off the printer. The original wiring harness to the counter that the T-jet 2 had was fairly short so in taking the cover off you had to make sure you weren't pulling on the cable connected to the counter.

I bought this tjet used from a guy close by and had to carry it down a flight of stairs from his place, then another flight at my place. I completely forgot about the hold down brackets and also had to carry it by the bed rails (front to back) instead of just the sides. This I realize now was a big "no no". I did get lucky and only had the 2 issues with wiring. Also I replaced the carriage due to the printhead clamp screw holes being broken due to wrong size screws and over tightening.
