I have a general question for how you calculate your cost per print for DTG, regardless of the equipment you are using. From the Manufacturing side we use a method of Labor, consumables, print size and waste. Across the different manufacturers you will see $.50 - $4.00

How do you calculate it and which equipment manufacturer has the lowest and why - your opinion.

Your rip software will tell you how much ink you used per print,
My cymk is way less as they only print 1 channel, as white it uses more as it prints 4 channels.

You left out one of the most expensive items and that is the cost of the initial equipment. That needs to be a part of your cost per shirt.
You also need to add the maintenance cost into that price.
If you buy a $20,000.00 DTG and you add $1.00 per shirt for that cost over 20,000 shirts it will help pay for itself.
