Hi all,

This is my first post here, I'm quite new to producing vinyl t-shirts and I'm looking for a little guidance...

Essentially, I'm producing t-shirts for my brother's race team. The design is text based, logo on the front left chest and a larger one running down the back.

Is there a standard for how to go about resizing the vinyl for different sized t-shirts?

I don't think Thanks for any support offered,

When I started I was unsure about resizing for different shirts. So we went around to stores to see what the "big guys" did. We found that they don't resize at all. So the only time I resize is if the design is really big and the shirt is small. Keep in mind if you were screen printing you wouldn't burn different screens for different shirts. Hope this helps.

Race teams may be on camera so bigger is better. Left breast is normal up to 4" but go up to six for the team and place it high so it shows in head shots. Back is as late as you can get it.

Measure the size you like the look of on say a men's XL (one of the most popular size) then ratio it down or up (proportionally width and height) for each size (cut out a piece of paper and look at the size of it against the shirt, do this for each size some prints will look good on all sizes some won't but this may help you decide or just create each shirt in Photoshop and ratio the pasted artwork this will tell you wether it looks good or not
