How do I do this in Corel draw? I have created the design but I don't know how to make the claw marks change color inside the letter.

To color the inside of those, use your smart fill too. In X7 it is 17 icons from the top on the left side toolbar.

I've always liked the trim tool for this type of thing. You'll need to convert the font to curves and do a little copying and pasting but you can use each object to trim the other and the result is always predictable. And then you can apply traps etc. if necessary for multi color printing.

I agree with @mfatty500. It looks like you used combine to get the effect. As @mfatty500 said use Smartfill instead as shown in the video he posted.

Smartfill is so much easier and simpler to use. It is in version x4 and above.
