I downloaded the new trial version of CorelDraw 2018 and I tried to import a file from the new Corel into c
Corel draw 4 and it didn't work. Can you import files from Corel draw 4 into Corel 2018 ?

What file format did you save your CD18 file as? EPS?


See what formats CD4 accepts and use one of those.

I saved a file from Corel 4 and imported it into Corel draw 2018 and didn't have any problems.

Unless you saved it as a X4 file you can NOT bring a 2018 into X4. When you save there is an option as to which version to save as.. EPS might work unless 2018 saves in a new EPS format.

You can go from an older version's file to a newer version all day long.

You CANNOT go from a newer version's file and open in an older version.

You will have to save it as an eps, ai, or editable pdf file and then import. You may have to save as an older version of .ai in order to import on an older version.

In the center of the save screen near the bottom you can set it ti save as 14 then you can reopen it in 14
