I have seen a lot of articles on the web about converting epson printers to sublimation printer, but am being told absolutely that I cannot convert a sawgrass chromablast printer to sublimation. Does anyone know if that is true and if so why is that the case?

Sublimation inks don't work well when it's contaminated with another ink, whether it be normal printer ink, Chromablast, Siser ink, or another brand sublimation ink.

You actually can, you will just need to run multiple cleaning cycles until you get most of the old ink out. You will waste a lot of ink in doing that, however, it may be worth it if you don't want to do chromablast anymore.
