Hey! I have been researching opening a online clothing line. I have been trying to gather as much info as I can, and any more knowledge you have to bestow would be great ;) I'm almost positive that I am going to screenprint as my medium. From reading past experiences I was wondering... Would it be better to have all your shirts done by a screenprinter then shipped to you. I noticed alot of you have your own machines, but I see this as a big distraction from actually growing the buisness. Is there anyone who has done both that has a opinion or any advice. I also think subcontracting out would cut down on the initial startup cost.

Thanks for reading,

You mention initial costs, but don't forget the initial headachs....

If you are planning to start a clothing line, focus on that and leave the printing to the pros. You will have much more time and energy focusing on the design/business aspects of your line, rather then worrying about, vendors, learning how to print properly, investing in equipment and space and money for tylenol.
